Cardiology covers complaints and diseases of the cardiovascular system. Angiology deals with vascular diseases.

  • Elevated blood lipids (cholesterol, lipoprotein(a), triglycerides)
  • Vascular diseases (calcification of the carotid arteries or the pelvic and leg arteries)
  • Intermittent claudication (paVK)

The complaints and conditions listed above can be investigated and treated in our practice. Here you will find our range of diagnostic services for cardiology and angiology.

  • Heart ultrasound (echocardiography)
  • Carotid ultrasound (ultrasound of the neck vessels)
  • Electrocardiogram (ECG)
  • Exercise test (stress ECG)
  • Holter/24h ECG (long-term ECG): 
  • 24h blood pressure (24h-BP): is currently covered by BVAEB, KFA, SVS (not ÖGK).
  • Venous valve measurement (currently covered by ÖGK, otherwise a private service)
  • ABI measurement
  • Blood draw directly in the practice: blood, stool, urine analyses

For further investigations we cooperate with selected specialists in the same building MED22 (diagnostic centre with extensive radiology/CT/MRI) and externally.

No, please come with a referral (if available), prior findings (if available) and the form for the initial visit (including medication list, basic data) which you can find on our website. It is particularly important to have an up-to-date, completed medication list.

For appointment scheduling please contact us by telephone during the practice hours or use our callback service. If you are unable to attend a scheduled appointment, please understand that without a timely written cancellation we must charge a flat administrative fee. (Details in the appointment cancellation section). A parking space is available for visitors of MED22 and iMed22 covers the parking fees of our patients for up to 3 hours. However, availability of a parking space cannot be guaranteed, which is why travel by public transport is recommended.
